Reason Code
The Reason Code Maintenance allows you to create Reason Codes that an Employee or Manager (with a detail entry screen) can select when they need to explain why a change to a Timesheet record was made.
Note: Creating new Reason Codes may require Administrative Access depending on how your LightWork system has been configured. If you do not have access please contact your system Administrator.

Reason Code List
Displays a list of existing Reason Codes available within LightWork.
Note: If you see the Reason Code Maintenance available for selection under the Timesheets Maintenance, you have been granted at least some visibility through Security Access for this Maintenance. -
New
To create a new 'Reason Code', click on the 'New' icon.
Note: To select from entered Reason Codes in LightWork on an Employee's Timesheet, you will need to enable the 'Reason Id' and 'Reason Description' checkboxes located in the Time Columns Tab within the 'Pay Policy Maintenance' for the Pay Policy associated with that Employee. -
ID
This is where you would put the name of the Reason Code you are creating. -
Description
We recommend using the Description as a longer version of the ID or as a method of giving more information about the reason. -
Save
Once you are satisfied with your selections, click on 'Save'.
