Journal Type

The Journal Type Maintenance is where you will enter the different 'Journal Types' an Employee or Manager will choose from when creating a Journal entry.

Journal Type List
Upon navigation into the 'Journal Type Maintenance', you will see a list of all the 'Journal Types' that come pre-loaded with your LightWork system but are completely editable (for example, General, Commendation, Disciplinary, and Attendance), as well as the capability to add new 'Journal Types'.
Note: You must have at least one 'Journal Type' setup here for Users to be able to create a Journal.

  1. New
    To create a new 'Journal Type' click on the 'New' icon.

  2. Description
    Enter in a 'Description' for the 'Journal Type'.

  3. Save
    Once you are satisfied with your selections, click on 'Save'.
